Built in 1888 by Jackson and Sharpe Company in Willmington, Delaware the Duluth South Shore and Atlantic 1st class coach #221 spent the first part of its life in Wisconsin and Michigan hauling passengers. It was used in ferry boat service where the Mackinac bridge is now.In the 1930's it was downgraded to work train service. We purchases it in the late 1960's. It is stored inside waiting the final phase of restoration.
