Northern Pacific 1989

Built in 1870 by Wason car company for the Northern Pacific Railroad as a passenger coach. It was rebuilt into a official's car in 1913. It was retired in 1937 and the body sold to a judge and used as a cabin in Hudson, Wi on the St. Croix River. It was moved to our museum in 1967 and placed back on wheels in the early 1980's. It is currently scheduled for a paint job and light cosmetic restoration this summer.
