Duluth & Iron Range 8011

Built by Pullman for the Santa Fe Railroad in 1894 as a refrigerator car. It was sold in 1901 to the Duluth and Iron Range Railroad. it was sold to the Duluth and Northeastern Railroad in 1930. It operated all the way to the Minnesota/Canadian Border hauling perishables to and from logging camps. The Duluth and Northeastern changed it to a boxcar sometime in the 1940's. We purchased it in the early 1970's after it had been stored and used for boy scout paper drive paper storage.
